This includes, but is not restricted to, various forms of generation from renewable energy – for example, wind, solar, geothermal, hydropower, bio-energy and wave/tidal power.

Energy efficiency business here describes the related business activities, technologies and energy generation from fossil fuel sources where the GHG emission outcome is lower than the prevailing business-as-usual generation type.

Clean technology business is an all encompassing term that cover all technologies that promote the replacement of traditional materials, products and processes with new materials, products, and processes that reduce or eliminate environment impacts, and in particular, emission of carbon and GHG.
